I am writing to thank Empowerment Focused for their support and help over the years.

By working in partnership with the community workers; to date 96 young people from Lewisham Primary Schools have achieved Nationally Recognised Qualifications in Sailing and over 12 young people have signed up as volunteers at The AHOY Centre.

The aim of working with the schools and creating a relationship like the one we have established has helped the young people to engage in a community based activity and give them an opportunity to; participate in a challenging sport, gain a national recognised qualification, become volunteers and assist and help others in the community.

The AHOY would like to thank you for all your help; being so willing to help and organise the sailing curriculum courses has allowed so many young people to be given the opportunity to gain access to sailing and volunteering.

Daunted and stressed over facing an appeal for my daughters reception school place I was extremely pleased and relieved to seek advice and support from Empowerment Focused.

From the start I was reassured and guided step by step through the whole process making the situation much less stressful by making me fully aware of what was entailed ensuring a confusing process was fully understandable ensuring I knew exactly where I stood, what I needed to do and how things would proceed on the appeal day.
